So Ben Affleck was snubbed by the Academy in the Best Director category and has gone on to win that category in just about every other awards show. I’m hoping that whomever wins tonight will have the decency to give him a shout out. I’m not sure why they snubbed him, were they trying to get back at him for Gigli? If I can forgive him for Daredevil, the Academy should cut him some slack. I am posting my picks below, leave a comment if you agree or not and who you are picking.

Actor – Bradley Cooper for Silver Linings Playbook even though Daniel Day Lewis will probably win for Lincoln.
Actress – Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook possible upset by Quvenzhane Wallis for Beasts of the Southern Wild, she was amazing.
Supporting Actor – Robert DeNiro for Silver Linings Playbook, Tommy Lee Jones will win but I hope not.
Supporting Actress – Anne Hathaway for Les Miserables
Original Screenplay – Zero Dark Thirty
Adapted Screenplay – Argo
Animated Feature – Frakenweenie will win but if I had my way it would be Wreck It Ralph all the way.
Documentary Short Subject – Redemption but I have not seen any of the nominations
Film Editing – Life of PI
Sound Editing – Skyfall I changed my pick from Life of PI
Foreign Language Film – Amour
Short Film Animated – Maggie Simpson in The Longest Daycare another category where I’m totally guessing.

Visual Effects – It should be Life of PI but my pick is The Avengers
