Hello Friends –

City Hall just came out with their budget, and they’ve proposed cutting funding for New York’s Bronx Zoo and New York Aquarium by 58 percent!

If the budget is approved, all options will be on the table to plug a huge budget hole. That includes program cuts.

I think New York City’s zoo and aquarium are too important to lose funding – not just for the employees, the millions of visitors, or the children who go to learn about wildlife, but for the whole city.

That’s why I emailed City Hall and told them to restore funding to some of our city’s best and most beloved cultural organizations. Will you send a letter too?
